At 0:15:00 I love the way he puts to rest the oft cited claim (by fanatical
fruitarians etc) that we need to have sugar in the diet for energy. We do
not. The Budwig diet of course is also very effective for cancer and other
diseases. I am wondering how people with mitochondrial problems related to
autoimmune disorders can be helped with diet.

Thanks for your diligent work in bringing this type of information to the
public. The health of the populace is fast approaching a precipice from
which it can return with an adoption of alternative approaches or plummet
with the conventional wisdom. You’re really helping people arrive at a much
more informed consent to the treatment approach they ultimately decide on.
Between chemo, radiation, and surgery, are patients really giving informed
consent if all treatment options are not presented?

Cost is what keeps so many of us from integrating complimentary practices
into our preventive measures, treatments and post treatment routines.
Remain hopeful as long as people like Dr. Mercola and Prof. Thomas Seyfried
are here to inform and advocate for the powerless and voiceless. Thank You.

Mitochondrial encephalomyopathy is a condition that underlies not only
classic genetic mitochondrial disease, but other conditions that result in
insufficient energy production in neurons and muscle. That would include
ALS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s Chorea, MS, etc. This also applies, at least
in large part, to Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. My feeling is that
autoimmune disorders could benefit due to a “reset” mechanism of metabolic
function provided by a primitive diet void of most sugars.
